Responsibilities

Primary Duties

  • Monitors, reviews, and makes decisions on pre-employment screening outcomes including background checks, drug tests, and MVR reports according to established guidelines, timelines, and role-specific hiring criteria to determine candidate eligibility.
  • Conducts individualized assessments for candidates with potentially disqualifying results, considering the nature of the offense, time elapsed, and relevance to the position.
  • Manages the adverse action process in compliance with FCRA, including issuing pre-adverse and adverse action notices as required.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert and advisor to TA and HR on legal and regulatory policies including FCRA, EEOC, OFCCP, AAP, Ban-the-Box ordinances, and state-specific drug testing statutes.
  • Partners with Legal and HR to update adjudication matrices, hiring criteria, and screening policies as regulations evolve.
  • Ensures consistent and equitable application of screening policies across all candidate populations.
  • Leads OFCCP support and auditing activities, partnering with TA technology and reporting teams to provide data for audits and legal matters.
  • Supports HR audit preparation by maintaining accurate documentation and reporting related to screening activity.
  • Manages vendor relationships with background check providers, drug testing labs, and MVR providers, including oversight of the hiring matrix.
  • Monitors screening turnaround times and escalates delays to keep candidates progressing through the hiring process.
  • Identifies and initiates process enhancements and innovation to improve compliance operations.
  • Acts as project coordinator for compliance updates or initiatives that impact the Talent Acquisition process.
  • Collaborates with recruiters to communicate screening outcomes and next steps in a timely manner.
  • Educates recruiting staff on screening policies, adjudication guidelines, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintains tracking systems for pre-employment screening activities, generates standard reports on screening volumes and turnaround times, and provides ad hoc reports and analysis as needed.
  • Maintains accurate and confidential records of all screening results and adjudication decisions.
  • Provides administrative support including candidate pre-boarding for the corporate recruiting team.

The Talent Acquisition Compliance Analyst serves as the subject matter expert and compliance consultant to the Talent Acquisition team. This role is responsible for ensuring all pre-employment screening processes are administered accurately, consistently, and in full compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Acting as the central point of contact for reviewing and adjudicating background check results, drug test outcomes, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) reports, this position partners with Recruiting, HR, and Legal to support compliant and defensible hiring decisions while driving continuous improvement across compliance operations.
