Responsibilities
Primary Duties
- Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards
- Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.)
- Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs
- Utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines
- Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Experience Requirements
Required
1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic
1 year of experience

- Able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed); basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
