Server

The primary purpose of this position is to take orders from the customers in the dining room, quickly and correctly; enter orders into the Point of Sale System; and bring food and beverage items along with other necessary items to the table. This position is critical to the success of this Pizza Hut in that it is a necessary step in selling and delivering products to its customers.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure cleanliness and proper organization of the dining room.
• Check sections in the dining room for readiness for customers.
• Ensure that tables, booths, and chairs are clean.
• Clean dining room windows and carpet.
• Ensure all tables have one placemat for each seat.
• Ensure tables have correct marketing materials and condiments.

Customer Service Responsibilities:

• Greet customers at the door and seat them at tables within 30 seconds of their arrival.
• Determine how many customers are in the party and which server's section is next in the rotation.
• Check for special needs of customers.
• Deliver menus to customers and inform them that their Server will be right with them.

Service Responsibilities:

• Greet tables within 2 minutes of customers being seated.
• Bring all serviceware to the table when greeting customers.
• Suggest beverages and appetizers.
• Enter orders into the Point of Sale system.
• Deliver beverages and food items to the table.
• Check back with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Process payments rapidly within 3 minutes.
• Bus, clean, and reset tables after customers leave.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Answer phone calls and take carryout and delivery orders.
• Maintain salad bar (if applicable).
• Perform sidework as assigned by the Restaurant Management Team.
• Ensure assigned section is clean and ready for the next shift.

Qualifications:

• Able to perform essential functions at an acceptable pace.
• Sufficient physical condition to perform the functions of the position.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and customers.
• Must be physically able to work under high temperature conditions.
• Must maintain self-control under stress.
• Must have sufficient mental ability to work effectively without supervision.
