About Your Role
As a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator at Dollar Tree's corporate office, you'll support the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of retail locations across assigned regions. In this role, you'll serve as a central point of contact for store facility needs, coordinate vendors and service providers, and help ensure safe, fully functional store environments with minimal operational disruption.
Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair requests for stores within assigned states, ensuring timely resolution
Respond to and manage facility emergencies such as fire, flooding, power outages, severe weather, and plumbing or safety incidents
Serve as a primary point of contact for store teams, providing guidance and support on facility-related concerns
Support department leadership with daily operational updates, reporting, and administrative needs
Triage and resolve routine facility inquiries via phone and email with a strong customer service focus
Create, assign, prioritize, and track work orders for internal technicians and external vendors using CMMS platforms
Evaluate service requests based on urgency, safety, and operational impact
Maintain accurate service records, call logs, and maintenance histories in internal systems
Monitor open work orders, provide status updates, and ensure timely follow-up through completion
Maintain accurate facility data and asset records for all assigned locations
Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service and cost efficiency
Evaluate repair solutions and manage maintenance expenses within approved spending authority (up to $3,000)
Review, verify, and process facility-related invoices to ensure timely and accurate payment
Coordinate and issue formal communications to landlords, including certified letters and official notices as needed
Support compliance with company policies, safety standards, and lease obligations
Your Required Skills and
Experience
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams
- Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Typing proficiency of at least 34 WPM
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and email communication
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed
Preferred
Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional experience
Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
