Business Process InternThe Business Process Intern will support digital transformation initiatives through business process analysis and optimization. This role focuses on reviewing existing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending improvements that incorporate AI, machine learning, and automation technologies.

The intern will assist in designing and documenting streamlined processes that improve operational efficiency, scalability, and system performance while contributing to enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives.

Essential duties and responsibilities include

• Review and document existing business processes across multiple departments

Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and bottlenecks within workflows

Research and recommend AI-driven solutions and advanced tools to improve productivity and scalability

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and operational constraints

Assist in developing process improvement proposals, including cost-benefit and impact analyses

Support implementation planning for approved process changes and automation initiatives

Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings, insights, and recommendations for leadership

General intern program responsibilities include:

Complete a capstone project focused on the assigned discipline and present findings to stakeholders during the final week of the program

Perform additional administrative and project-based duties as assigned

Computer and technical skills required include:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills preferred

Ability to research, evaluate, and identify AI-driven tools for process optimization

Familiarity with process mapping and documentation tools

Exposure to workflow automation platforms such as Power Automate or Zapier

Knowledge of AI tools, robotic process automation (RPA), or machine learning concepts

Basic understanding of integrations with databases or cloud-based services

Qualifications and skills include

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail

Excellent written, verbal, and group communication skills

Ability to read, analyze, create, and interpret business documentation and correspondence

Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities

Education and experience required

Rising senior or recent graduate (Class of 2026) pursuing a bachelor's degree in Data Science
