Position Purpose:
Performs audits as assigned by management team, addressing key business risks, identifying improvement opportunities and developing solutions. Provides support and guidance as required for executing Customs audits. The scope of these audits will encompass an examination and evaluation of the adequacy of company's system of internal controls as they relate to Customs. Partners with internal and external partners to identify risks and recommend solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conducts compliance audits of various functional groups, processes and service providers to assess the effectiveness of internal controls; identify risk and make recommendations; prepare comprehensive work papers and audit reports.
• Partner with management in assigned business areas to identify key business risk for audits
• Prepares departmental metrics
• Develop and test new audit programs and processes
• Develop and train Auditors
• Oversee's audit work of team members

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

• Typically reports to Mgr/Sr Mgr Global Trade Audit
• Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. Planning, monitoring and reviewing work of subordinates is required. This may include direct supervision of a shift or the coordination of multiple work groups. Makes recommendations concerning selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development.

Travel Requirements:

• Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in compliance auditing of government regulations
• Customs Brokers License

Minimum Education:

• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
