Responsibilities
Primary Duties
- Function as Pilot in Command on Home Depot aircraft for the purpose of maintaining a high degree of technical competence and awareness of safe aircraft operations, anywhere in the world that includes the United States, Canada, Mexico and other international destinations.
- Must be able to fully perform all flight related duties. Provide guidance to flight personnel to assure safe, efficient and coordinated use of corporate aircraft.
- Responsible for the conduct of safe flight operations and the compliance of all applicable FAA regulations, as well as internal Home Depot policies.
- Maintain an understanding of the normal procedures, emergency operating procedures and all operating systems of the aircraft.
- Responsible for coordination and completion of all phases of assigned trips utilizing all available resources.
- Ensure that all members of assigned crew are fully qualified, properly rested, and prepared for flight.
- Flight follow with Flight Operations, communicating estimated times of arrival at destination, actual times of arrival, and status of the aircraft, crew, and passengers.
- Train co pilots to assist them in preparing for possible future Captain openings.
Experience Requirements
Required
Minimum of 5 years experience as a professional pilot flying jet aircraft with demonstrated record of adherence to aviation safety and flight standards.

- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors.
- Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

- Five to eight years of experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a professional pilot flying jet aircraft with demonstrated record of adherence to aviation safety and flight standards.
- Minimum of 4000 hrs, 2000 hrs jet, 2000 hrs pilot in command.
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a associate's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
