Responsibilities

Operating all equipment in the department including mixers, pumps, lifts, hoists, bowl cutters, scales, cabbage spinners, and cross fed belts.

Assembling and disassembling equipment.

Practicing strict sanitation and GMP practices to ensure food safe products are being manufactured.

• Gathering, prepping, and weighing fresh ingredients.

Accurately following recipes.

Providing timely and accurate communication to the salad room operator concerning production needs and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Hours of Work

1:30pm - 10:00pm; Rotating days of the week.

Work Environment

Temperatures range from 40 to 45 degrees. Wet and slippery.

Year End Bonus: To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment, the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment, the bonus is equal to one week's pay if the associate remains employed through the issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks' pay.

Weekend Differential: A $2.00 per hour weekend differential is paid to associates for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
