Central Fill Pharmacy Technician - Jacksonville (St. Johns)

Join Our Team as a Pharmacy Technician at Publix Central Fill Pharmacy! Are you ready to take your pharmacy career to the next level? Publix, one of the nation's most respected and employee-owned companies, is looking for dedicated Pharmacy Technicians to join our Central Fill Pharmacy Operations team! In this vital role, you'll help ensure patients receive their prescriptions accurately and efficiently by supporting our automated and manual prescription filling processes. You'll work with cutting-edge technology, assist in replenishing medication canisters, troubleshooting dispensers, and prepare prescriptions for delivery to Publix stores.

What You'll Do
  • Support the Central Fill team in filling and packaging prescriptions

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications
  • Possession of a National Pharmacy Technician Certification (e.g., PTCB)
  • Strong understanding of central fill pharmacy operations, including automated prescription filling, packaging, and distribution processes
  • Experience working with pharmacy automation systems, robotics, and related technology
  • Knowledge of pharmacy regulations, quality assurance standards, and safety protocols in a high-volume production environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling and verification
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical or workflow issues within automated systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet production goals and deadlines
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments

Hours of Work
6:30am -10:30pm (varies) 6 days per week (currently closed on Saturdays). Hours of work are subject to change; flexibility is required.

Year End Bonus
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week's pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks' pay.

Other Compensation Information
  • A $2.00 per hour weekend differential is paid to associates for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
  • A $.50 per hour meal differential is paid to associates if there is not a cafeteria at or near the facility they work in.
