Responsibilities
Primary Duties
- Assisting the Central Fill team with the replenishment of canisters for automated prescription filling
- Correctly packing patient prescriptions and patient paperwork containing PHI together in the correct bag for sorting at the sortation machine
- Assisting the Central Fill team with filling prescriptions for individual patients
- Delivering canisters that have been verified by a pharmacist to and from the counting robots
- Assisting in the management of the canister replenishment queues
- Retrieving, troubleshooting, and replacing malfunctioning dispensers from the counting robots
- Restocking shelves with product and supplies used for prescription dispensing
Experience Requirements

Central Fill Pharmacy Technician, Central Fill - Orlando
The purpose of this position is to provide the Central Fill pharmacy team with support in filling prescriptions centrally. This position is responsible for manual filling of patient prescriptions, filling and delivering canisters with medication for automated prescription filling, troubleshooting dispensers, and packaging/manifesting prescriptions for store delivery.
The impact this position has on Publix is driving successful execution of filling hundreds of thousands of prescriptions each week so that we may support retail pharmacies centrally, enhancing their ability to meet the prescription filling demand and maintain premier service for their customers.
