As an Intermediate Software Engineer on the POS team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining POS software applications to enhance our customer experience and meet evolving business needs.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including QA and product management, to deliver high-quality solutions. Key responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting, and resolving software issues, and contributing to the design and implementation of new features. Additionally, you will assist in deploying software updates, develop and execute tests to ensure reliability, and document technical specifications to support ongoing maintenance and team knowledge sharing.

Your Impact
Create, modify, and maintain software applications for POS systems to ensure efficient and reliable transaction processing
Work closely with product managers, QA testers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality POS solutions
Identify, diagnose, and fix bugs or performance issues in POS software
Ensure seamless communication between POS software and hardware devices such as scanners, printers, and payment terminals
Adhere to industry standards and regulations (e.g., PCI DSS) for payment processing and data security
Enhance the speed, reliability, and scalability of POS applications to handle high transaction volumes
Review code written by team members to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience

Experience working with Azure DevOps, including Pipelines

Potential Annual Pay with Bonus: 95,810- 143,650
Year End Bonus: As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
