Sanitation Operator, PM, Bakery

• Lakeland | Publix Super Markets, Inc.This position involves assembling and disassembling equipment, dispensing and using chemicals safely, maintaining the chemical storage area, cleaning all production equipment, maintaining standard operating procedures at an exceptional level, ensuring the prevention of damage when cleaning equipment, including electrical wiring and control panels, applying various chemicals on different equipment as well as in environmental locations, operating and maintaining floor scrubbers, and other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications include being at least 18 years old, demonstrating excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safe working habits, ability to use industrial strength chemicals, understanding and demonstrating all Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently, ability to push or pull heavy equipment, basic mechanical skills, ability to work in a wet and slippery environment, general knowledge of machine operation, ability to bend/stoop/squat down, etc., ability to learn and perform all positions, ability to use creative thinking for troubleshooting, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, good human relations skills, ability to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours, excellent attendance and punctuality, willingness to assist other team members in other areas, ability to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time, ability to work efficiently with little or no supervision, ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions, basic math skills, ability to communicate effectively, enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work, and a commitment to Publix and our mission.

Hours of work are 11:00am - 9:30pm; rotating days.

The work environment involves temperatures ranging from 30 to 70

• degrees. It is wet and slippery.

Frequency of pay is weekly. Minimum base pay is $19.60. Maximum base pay is $27.05. Potential annual base pay is $4$768 - $56,264.

A year-end bonus is provided to reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year. In the first year of continuous employment, the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay. In the second year of continuous employment, the bonus is equal to one week's pay if the associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks' pay.

A $2.00 per hour weekend differential is paid to associates for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
