Job DescriptionResponsibilities include assembling and disassembling equipment, dispensing and using chemicals safely, maintaining the chemical storage area, cleaning all production equipment, maintaining standard operating procedures at an exceptional level, ensuring the prevention of damage when cleaning equipment, including electrical wiring and control panels, applying various chemicals on different equipment as well as in environmental locations, operating and maintaining floor scrubbers, and other duties as assigned.
Required QualificationsCandidates must be at least 18 years old, demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), demonstrate safe working habits, be able to use industrial strength chemicals, understand and demonstrate all Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently, push or pull heavy equipment, have basic mechanical skills, work in a wet and slippery environment, possess general knowledge of machine operation, be able to bend/stoop/squat down, etc., learn and perform all positions, use creative thinking for troubleshooting, work in a fast-paced environment, have good human relations skills, work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours, have excellent attendance and punctuality, be willing to assist other team members in other areas, perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time, work efficiently with little or no supervision, follow detailed written and verbal instructions, possess basic math skills, communicate effectively, show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work, and have a commitment to Publix and our mission.

Year End BonusTo reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week's pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks' pay.
Other Compensation InformationWeekend Differential: A $2.00 per hour weekend differential is paid to associates for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday. Night differential: A $.75 per hour night differential is paid to associates regularly scheduled to work any hours between midnight and 3:00 a.m. (this does not include shifts that end at midnight or begin at 3:00 a.m.).
