Battery Preventative Maintenance Person, PM, Orlando

Performing preventative maintenance on a variety of powered industrial equipment batteries according to company policy; federal, state, and local regulations; repair manuals; factory specifications; and his or her own knowledge of the powered industrial equipment batteries and assisting in other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old or at least 19 years old for positions in Alabama
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
• Ability to obtain certification and operate powered industrial equipment
• Ability to read, write, and solve math problems
• Successfully complete the following tests (before his or her start date in the position): Computation, Following Written Directions, Space Visualization, Mechanical Aptitude
• Ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions
• Capable of generating and processing work on a computerized maintenance-management system
• Ability to work well with others and be a team member

Preferred qualifications:

• Current Industrial Maintenance associate
• Have a valid driver's license and authorization to drive a company vehicle on or before his or her start date in the position.

Hours of work: 02:00pm - 12:30am; Wednesday - Saturday
Work environment: Temperatures could range from 20 degrees below to 90 degrees Fahrenheit for an extended period of time.

Minimum base pay: $15.75
Maximum base pay: $21.75
Potential annual base pay: $32,760 - $45,240
Year end bonus: To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week's pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks' pay.
Other compensation information: Weekend differential: A $2.00 per hour weekend differential is paid to associates for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday. Night differential: A $.75 per hour night differential is paid to associates regularly scheduled to work any hours between midnight and 3:00 a.m. (this does not include shifts that end at midnight or begin at 3:00 a.m.).
