This position will service the territory of Des Moines, IA, Southern, MO, and Southern, IL.
The International Account Executive is responsible for driving new business acquisition and expanding UPS's international services through strategic prospecting, relationship building, and solution-based selling. This role collaborates with Business Development Managers (BDM's), Customer Success Managers (CSM's), Customer Solutions, and other internal teams to develop account strategies, analyze market trends, and position UPS solutions competitively. The position requires strong business acumen, logistics expertise, and the ability to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs while ensuring compliance with international regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting and Lead Generation
Identify and research potential clients through various channels including artificial intelligence.
Generate new leads via cold calling, networking, and outreach methods.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to leverage inbound leads and campaigns.
Sales Strategy and Planning
Define and document account strategies; evaluate key financial indicators to establish objectives.
Value Analysis and Presentation
Negotiation and Closing
Obtain signatures for contracts and compliance documents (e.g., Power of Attorney, USMCA, 232 documentation).
Close deals efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Collaboration and Support
Respond to internal requests regarding international processes, tools, and compliance.
Compliance and Market Research
Visit customer warehouses and distribution centers to understand customers' global supply chain and business needs.
Qualifications
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel.
