The Global Freight Forwarding (GFF) Engineering Supervisor works with engineering departments to develop, implement, and deploy approved operational processes and best practices consistently throughout the company. He/She improves service reliability and production performance using technology initiatives and ensures that each operation is using the most cost-effective solutions. He/She provides project management support to multiple highly complex new internal/external customer projects. This position trains operations staff in the newly developed processes and standards to ensure post implementation success and continued process improvement. This position will assist the I.E. departments in special reengineering or new projects, as necessary. This position supports operations over multiple states and shifts (covering over 200 employees), utilizing multiple systems and process models to provide tools, training, and assistance as needed to support the achievement of the business plan. This position also ensures that best practices are identified, documented, implemented, and forwarded to other regions. He/She embraces company culture and promotes its qualities of business integrity, customer responsiveness, teamwork, and shareholder value among employees. This position may supervise others.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with operations for staffing and capacity planning
- Partner with Operations and cross-functional teams to drive cost discipline and service performance.
- Ensure solutions meet contractual KPIs, service expectations, and profitability targets.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions to improve E2E service.
- Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support operations to implement and pilot innovative tools and technologies
- Ensure adherence to UPS policies, procedures, and client requirements.

UPS pays $33 for Plant Manager in El Paso, Texas, with most salaries ranging from $24 to $47. Pay can vary based on role, experience, and local cost of living.
