Manager, Product Management Finance Transformation & AI Platforms
Apple
Manager, Product Management Finance Transformation & AI PlatformsImagine what you could do here. At Apple, new ideas have a way of becoming extraordinary products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Bring passion and dedication to your job and there's no telling what we could accomplish. The Finance Transformation team is at a pivotal moment.
We are evolving from a project-centric delivery model to a product-led mindset, ensuring our internal tools are as intuitive and innovative as the products Apple sells.
We are looking for a visionary Product Leader to help us build this bridge. In this role, you will lead the Product Management discipline, sitting at the intersection of Business Strategy (The Problem Space) and Engineering (The Solution Space).
You will not only lead a portfolio of critical products, like our foundational AI Agent platform, but you will also serve as a coach to help talented Business Analysts and Project Managers evolve into world-class Product Managers.
As the Manager of Product Management, you will define the "Apple Standard" for how Finance products are built.
You will own turning Value Propositions into concrete Feature Sets.
Building the Practice (The People)
You will lead the evolution of our team into a modern Product structure.
Coaching: Mentor your team on how to move beyond gathering requirements and towards defining Value.
Standardization: Establish the frameworks for "Discovery" vs. "Delivery." Teach the team how to dissect a problem into a Roadmap rather than just a Project Plan. Re-skilling: Create a safe, growth-oriented environment where team members can learn new skills, from user story mapping to technical fluency, necessary for the Product role.
Building the Platform (The AI Product)
You will act as the hands-on Product Leader for our new AI Agents initiative. The Architecture of Intelligence: Partner with Engineering to define the "Solution Architecture" for our AI platform. You won't write the code, but you will define the capabilities (e.g., "The Agent must be able to reason across these three datasets"). Defining the Feature Set: Translate high-level demand for "AI" into specific, high-value use cases (e.g., "Automated Variance Analysis" or "Policy Query Bots").
Ethical Innovation: Ensure our AI approach balances speed with Apple's high standards for privacy, accuracy, and security.
Navigating the Triad (The Culture)
You will operationalize the collaboration between our three key pillars: Partner with Transformation Leads (The "Why"): Help them sharpen their Problem Statements. When they ask for a specific tool, challenge them to define the Underserved Need first. Partner with Engineering (The "How"): Respect the "Solution Space." Collaborate on feasibility and trade-offs, ensuring we don't build "shelf-ware" or over-engineered technical marvels. Own the "What": Be the decisive voice on Prioritization. You ensure the team focuses on the few things that deliver the most impact.
Minimum Qualifications
8
- years of experience in Product Management
3
BS/BA degree required. MBA or equivalent field experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
A "Design Thinking" practitioner who puts the User Experience at the center of every decision.
The "Bridge" Mindset: Deep understanding of how to sit between Business Stakeholders and Engineering. You know how to translate abstract "Business Needs" into logical "Feature Sets" without overstepping into technical architecture.
Transformation
Experience
Proven track record of guiding teams from "Project Thinking" (dates and deliverables) to "Product Thinking" (outcomes and value). Experience re-skilling BAs/PMs is highly desired.
AI & Platform Strategy: Strong interest or experience in Generative AI and "Agentic" workflows. You understand that AI is not just a UX layer, but a fundamental architectural capability.
Collaborative Influence: You view Product Management as a partnership, not a solo act. You lead through influence and shared vision, orchestrating the deep expertise of Engineering and Business stakeholders to arrive at the best possible solution for the user.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses including tuition. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
