Apple's Hardware Technology Engineering Program Management Team is looking for an inventive, high-energy Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to support the Silicon Engineering CAD organization! In this all-encompassing role, we will apply your technical skills to drive the technical execution of projects across a myriad of topics, including and not limited to: infrastructure of data center builds, storage roll-outs, operating system planning, coupled with supporting front-end and back-end silicon CAD design flows.
The candidate will use program management abilities to own schedules and resolve issues across multiple projects, technology nodes, and datacenters. By focusing on all aspects of a silicon project, we will work directly together with CAD, Infrastructure teams, Design teams, and Technology teams to craft a project plan, identify/resolve blockers, and align CAD team work across multiple parallel projects and Datacenters ensuring all requirements are met!
Own and drive high-level achievements by focusing the CAD team on meeting near-term landmarks and unblock technical issues by pulling together the relevant multi-functional technical specialists. Run and track project schedules by driving high-level achievement execution in a multifaceted core technology team. Responsible for daily and long-term project management tasks. Participate in early planning of new projects as well as resourcing and scheduling. Assist with planning new project schedules, assign ownership, plan for right resource metrics, and track them diligently to completion. Drive weekly schedule and communication meetings with upper management. Ensure effective project schedule and dependency communication with the dependent teams (CAD/Design/Infrastructure/technology/etc). Rolling up your sleeves and doing what it takes to get things done.
Works on putting together a comprehensive view of needed work to support a project from conception to completion. Rallies teams and engineers to meet the breakthroughs needed for project success. Collaborate closely with all partners across different orgs to align on a unified plan of operation. Predict, Plan, Implement and Monitor project needs and requirements from an infrastructure POV. Supervise all work you're doing diligently, highlight any gaps immediately and mitigate risk as needed. Accommodate changes and update plans to meet project needs, in keeping with schedule. Communicate status clearly across different levels on management. Focus on continuous improvements by incorporating findings in a detailed way during execution cycle. Chip in to team by helping as needed on a variety of tasks to ensure non-disruption to project POR.
Qualifications:
BS + 3 years of proven experience. Chip design and/or CAD flow knowledge required. Experience in any of the following: Front-end (Logic design, Synthesis, DV, or DFT) or Back-end (PNR, STA, LVS, DRC, Extraction) CAD Tools/Flows.
Experience working in engineering environments related to EDA or chip design. Experience with at least one of the following areas: Working on Compute, Storage and Network equipment deployed in Large HPC Datacenter OR understands nuances related to EDA tools, licensing and operating system dependencies. Program/project management experience working in Silicon projects/CAD Projects, or a combination of Program Management and CAD design experience. Proficient with Gantt chart and Program Management tracking tools. Excellent communication, interpersonal, collaboration and leadership skills. Self-motivated and phenomenal teammate with ability to encourage team members. Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience. Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty.
