Full Job Description
Model Writer
Cupertino, California, United States
The Apple Design team conceptualizes, designs, and creates the user experience for all Apple products, services, and accessories. This is an opportunity to design with language. A chance to represent writing as an essential part of the process.
Description
As a model writer on the Design Team, you'll need a deep interest in writing that is concise, considered, and useful. It's your responsibility to craft language our models can both use and learn from as well as be an active participant in the design process. You'll be expected to recognize a bad user experience and have the passion and perseverance to create a great one. You'll work with model designers to ensure every element of the experience works together. You'll also work with engineers to deliver on challenging details while thinking through feedback, questioning assumptions, and articulating your point of view. This role also contributes to broader discussions about style and voice across Apple.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 10 years experience as a writer. A broad knowledge of Apple domains, platforms, and approaches. A deep interest in iterative content design, experimentation, and prototyping. An ability to understand how the nuances of technical stacks and architecture influence writing and design. A willingness to see writing as a team sport.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses including tuition. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
