Senior Software Engineer, Energy Services

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,000 and $263,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses including tuition. Responsibilities
- As part of the Energy Services Engineering team you will be responsible for helping to build robust, highly scalable services that support millions of users.
- You'll also have the opportunity to be involved with early development investigations, prototypes, and 3rd party integrations.
- You'll work with passionate problem solvers, designing and building impactful, best-in-class services for one of Apple's most innovative spaces.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or 3+ years of equivalent industry experience
- Extensive experience architecting, building, and maintaining mission-critical distributed systems at large scales.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems fundamentals and trade-offs in consistency, latency, and throughput.
- A commitment to engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and the curiosity to evaluate and advocate for new technologies and patterns.
- An ability to communicate thoughtfully and clearly, both verbally and in writing, to drive consensus on complex technical concepts with diverse audiences, including global teams and external partners.
- A track record of building and sustaining healthy long-term relationships and technical influence within your team and beyond its boundaries.
- The tenacity and perseverance to lead complex projects all the way from conception to production.
- Experience using generative AI tools throughout the software development lifecycle to produce high-quality software.
- Able to work with cross-functional partners to define product objectives
