Primary Duties
- Identify and drive quality improvement opportunities in future products
- Lead process FMEAs on new technologies and manufacturing processes
- Lead technical failure analysis to support root cause analysis and issue resolution
- Generate product quality plan (PQP)
- Establish quality monitoring mechanism which generates meaningful metrics providing indication of outgoing quality at all nodes in the supply chain
- Develop/drive test correlation, metrology systems, sampling methods, cosmetics requirements
- Manage quality escalation and issues
- Develop capable suppliers that can be both technology and scaling partners
Additional Duties
- International travel is required (up to 25%)

At Apple, Quality is one of the cornerstones of what makes our products and technologies great. Leading the team responsible for ensuring our customers receive the high quality and reliability they expect, in addition to enabling a design where quality is built in to scale large volumes at capable suppliers, is an incredibly challenging job requiring a broad array of technical and management skills. You will engage early in development to enable new technologies that go across Apple Products.

Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of people management experience
- 10+ years of industry experience in one or more of the following areas: product development, enclosures, castings, plastic parts, glass parts, injection molding, tooling, jigs, fixtures, or high-volume quality manufacturing engineering (e.g., Automotive, Consumer Electronics, Medical Devices, etc.)
- BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- MS/MBA in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Mandarin language skills are a plus but not required
- Finance/business acumen (understand cost drivers and derive costs associated with managing quality)
- Reliability methods and quality sampling methodologies
- Third party production quality & process management experience
- Experience working with customers
- Project management experience
