DescriptionThe Commerce Data Foundations Platform Product Manager will think from the ground up about data as a business abstraction layer. This role will require you to work closely with global and cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Privacy, Legal, Program Management, and other Product Managers.

You will evolve cross-functional alignment on data contracts that deliver strong business value, and deliver to those contracts. You'll love it here if you thrive in environments where introspective thought is valued just as highly as collaboration. Where quality matters over quantity.

ResponsibilitiesData Flow Mapping: Identify users of the data, what their needs are, and what is the problem they are trying to solve

Data Contracts: Define data contracts that create a layer of abstraction for downstream data

Data Strategy: Build strategic roadmaps that allow data teams to deliver on critical goals in a high-quality manner

Build Reusable Capabilities: Bring a capability mindset appropriate to platform teams to deliver capabilities that lower the cost of successive use-cases

Bridge Technical & Business: Translate downstream business needs to upstream data contract requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with multiple engineering and program management teams to define and implement product requirements

Minimum Qualifications5

• years of relevant work experience

Product management experience in building data platforms

Technical background and deep comfort in technical architecture

Exposure to building data products that respect customer privacy

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills with an ability to think on one's feet while conducting product discovery workshops

Have experience making disparate enterprise systems work seamlessly together

Love analytical problems that require a sharp problem-solving mindset and the ability to think outside the box

  • Strong ability for narrative creation / storytelling around data platform innovation
  • Enjoy writing clear, punchy memos on complex analytical topics

    Have a learn-and-grow mentality and want to be challenged in a nurturing and supportive environment

    Have a long-term outlook toward creating impact with a strong emphasis in cross-functional collaboration

  • Master's degree in Computer Science
  • Preferred QualificationsExperience in e-commerce and subscriptions
  • Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172,100 and $305,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
