  • Have a natural ability to be organized and juggle multiple priorities at once

Budget Specialist, Apple AirPods

Apple AirPods Budget Specialist is responsible for leading a broad cross-functional team in discussion of AirPods program budgets, leveraging a strong financial acumen to drive towards the right numbers. This role allows for direct influence in the management of Engineering spend for our new products, reporting updates regularly at an Executive level. Apple AirPods Budget Specialist will be responsible for commanding the dynamic budgets for AirPods New Product Introduction. Having a comprehensive understanding of budgets, advanced spreadsheet abilities, understanding of fiscal integrity, as well as an understanding of the hardware being supported is necessary to succeed in the role. This role allows for the candidate to pioneer what a Budget Specialist can influence in the Hardware landscape as a critical conduit to our product cycles.

Expectations
Expectations of the Budget Specialist are to be in the details of every element of AirPods budgets. This spans Product Design, Hardware, Manufacturing Design, and Capex. Budget Specialist must account for any changes to forecasted spend, working with each respective team to understand under or overspend, then summarizing for Executive review. This role will also require supporting the teams needs in re-allocation of funds, and accounting for every change in finite detail.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
  • 3-6+ years of Financial planning and project management experience
  • Experience and familiarity with consumer electronic industry

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $120,900 and $249,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
