Director of Product Management, Marketplace and Developer Technologies

A significant driver of the global economy, the App Store has facilitated over $1.4 trillion in developer billings and sales in 2025 alone, rewarding developers and entrepreneurs for their hard work and creativity. We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial product leader to oversee the vision for the third-party app distribution experience for Apple developers, across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS. You will lead the product team behind App Store Connect, TestFlight, App Analytics, developer marketing and store optimization, Apple ecosystem support including values, product safety, and alternative app distribution. Work alongside cross-functional partners in engineering, product design, business, PR, trust & safety, and developer marketing teams.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver on an innovative portfolio of features that drive business impact for developers and support a great customer experience
  • Define the product vision, strategy, and ongoing optimization of 3rd party developer app distribution, growth and marketing tools, analytics, product safety, and other marketplace platform technologies and services
  • Advance the team's faithful implementation of the product vision and strategy throughout the product lifecycle, including feature definition and development with engineering, design, and business teams
  • Craft marketing and communications strategy for the portfolio and feature launches to drive developer adoption and public awareness through events, press outreach, marketing, publications, etc. with developer relations, marketing, PR, business development, and partnership teams
  • Successfully advocate for the prioritization of impactful features for developers on the engineering roadmap and secure key resource commitments from cross-functional teams
  • Represent the developer perspective throughout the product development lifecycle; influence internal teams to create great developer experiences
  • Measure product impact and direct market research priorities to inform strategy in partnership with research, data analytics, and business teams
  • Drive key product decisions for regulatory and compliance initiatives that impact developer and customer experiences in the portfolio
  • Interact with company executives to build product vision for new features and services, support opportunity sizing and report on business and product outcomes over time with business planning and data science teams; provide domain expertise
  • Have expert knowledge of the mobile app industry, including iOS developer services (distribution, marketing, data analytics), competitive product strategies, mobile advertising, and privacy-focused approaches. Develop a corporate development strategy and suggest M&A activity as needed

Minimum Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in a senior role leading product development for developer experiences for mobile-centric B2B services, two-sided marketplaces, and/or business data analytics services
  • Experience building B2B SaaS products that leverage LLM and GenAI technologies to deliver easy-to-use interfaces
  • Experience developing innovative products while fulfilling compliance and product safety requirements

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in mobile gaming or subscription services a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; proven track record of successfully influencing and negotiating with partners and working with many groups to achieve goals; thrives in highly collaborative projects, handles high stakes decisions with ease, and ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Experience engaging effectively with high-level executives, including delivering presentations, gaining support for initiatives, and advocating point of view
  • Experience managing and professionally developing a team, overseeing a portfolio of multi-year projects toward completion
  • Ability to operate seamlessly between highly detailed and technical situations as well as strategic business situations
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to identify key opportunities and measure impact to drive improved customer experiences
  • Extraordinary oral and written communication skills; ability to become fluent in technical concepts and explain to executives and non-technical partners
  • Very strong storytelling and Keynote presentation abilities
  • BS degree or equivalent experience, JD or MS/MBA a plus

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $296,400 and $473,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
