We are looking for engineers who are equally comfortable working at the bits and bytes level and designing state-of-the-art object-oriented web services. We are seeking a software engineer to support feature development and delivery within the Apple Pay platform. This role will work as part of an existing engineering team on well-defined workstreams, delivering production-quality service and client code against agreed milestones.

ResponsibilitiesImplement and test new features for Apple Pay against specifications defined by the engineering team

Write thread-safe, performant, object-oriented, and inherently testable code

Build and maintain unit and integration test coverage for delivered work

Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and sprint planning with the team

Collaborate with client teams on feature integration and issue resolution

Debug and resolve defects in existing services, including production issues assigned during the engagement close.

Document delivered components and hand off knowledge at engagement close

Minimum Qualifications5

• years of professional software engineering experience

Proficiency in Java/Kotlin

• Experience building and operating RESTful web services at scale
• Strong debugging skills across the stack, from network layer to application logic
• Demonstrated experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to work independently against written specifications with minimal supervision

BS or MS degree with software development experience or equivalent experience

Preferred QualificationsExperience in payments, financial services, or transaction processing systems

Familiarity with secure element, tokenization, or cryptographic protocols

Experience with AWS
