Description
We are looking for an applications engineer that is highly motivated to develop and integrate innovative bench validation methodologies for our wireless power module ICs to ensure the successful launch of high-quality, bug-free ICs that enable excellent user experience. You would also work in partnership with multi-discipline teams including FW, architecture, system EE, Product Designers, and IC vendors to ensure smooth integration of our ASICs.

Responsibilities
In this position, you will be expected to:

  • Develop ASIC test automation scripts
  • Execute bench validations
  • Present thoughtful and distilled results to cross-functional teams
  • Ensure our IC vendors execute high-quality validation
  • Support FW teams, silicon/system architecture/design teams, and factory test teams in integrating ASICs into various Apple products
  • Run bench experiments, debug silicon-related issues, review system board design, IC failure analysis, and review/testing FW implementations

Minimum Qualifications
Solid EE fundamentals in both analog and digital circuit design with a focus on Power Electronics. Experience using test equipment such as Power Supply, DMM, Oscilloscope, Electronic Load, Signal Generator, Network Analyzer, Impedance Analyzer, etc. Strong knowledge of Python programming. BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of industry experience in IC validation, applications, or design. Experience in validating power management ICs or wireless charging ASICs. Experience in validating ADCs and DACs. Experience using USB, I2C, SPI, SPMI, UART, JTAG, LVDS interfaces. Experience using Python for test automation and GUI development. Ability to write and debug C/C++ code. Design simulation using Pspice, Simplis, Simetrix is a plus.

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses including tuition for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple.
