Full Job Description

Vision Pro Display Technology Engineer

In this role, you will be the focal point of defining next-gen architecture for Apple Vision products. The position allows you to work on a wide range of topics including prototyping, hardware & silicon definition, software & algorithm development, hands-on characterization, concept demo to executives.

Compare and scope display and optics technologies, analyze the trade-offs between performance, manufacturability and cost. Define architecture for new display technologies with understanding of system requirement, display & optical behavior, human perception. Define detailed specs including the display panel, driving ASICs, software/firmware algorithms and test/calibration procedure. Promote innovation and new technology to improve Apple's display performance and user experience.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree
  • Experience in the following areas: display backplane design, display pipeline, image processing, digital single processing, and/OR display architecture electrical and optical modeling.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree minimum in Electrical engineering or related field with 3 years of relevant proven experience
  • Good communication and leadership skills, with experience collaborating efficiently across internal teams and vendors teams.
  • Capability in theoretical analysis, as well as system characterization and modeling.
  • Hands-on experimental ability with prototyping experience.
  • Experiences in following area is a plus: optics, device physics, or machine learning.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $126,800 and $220,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
