Responsibilities

Primary Duties

  • Maintain the Managed Configuration Technology
  • Be responsible for any new restrictions that may be added to the technology
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure that the new restrictions are correctly implemented in the system
  • Conduct extensive testing, done through the creation of unit tests and/or manual testing
  • Design frameworks which empower developers to build apps to compete with Screen Time, while maintaining user's privacy
  • Add new settings and ensure these are respected by the device by partnering with cross functional teams
  • Provide support to fellow team members in the other aspects of the API
  • Conduct extensive testing through the creation of unit and functional tests as well as manual testing
  • Provide mentorship to new hires as needed

Description

APPLE INC has the following available in San Diego, California. Maintain the Managed Configuration Technology, which is the basis for enterprises and educational institutions to remotely handle their Apple devices, whether it be via profiles, MDM, Classroom, or Screen Time. Be responsible for any new restrictions that may be added to the technology, allowing enterprises more control over new features that are introduced in Apple's software. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure that the new restrictions are correctly implemented in the system. Code in the Objective C programming language with technologies such as libdispatch, XPC, and MDM. Conduct extensive testing, done through the creation of unit tests and/or manual testing. Design frameworks which empower developers to build apps to compete with Screen Time, while maintaining user's privacy. Add new settings and ensure these are respected by the device by partnering with cross functional teams. Provide support to fellow team members in the other aspects of the API, including designing and implementing the current enrollment flow in Family Controls. Conduct extensive testing through the creation of unit and functional tests as well as manual testing. Provide mentorship to new hires as needed. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $171,600 - $258,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. PAY & BENEFITS: Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechatronic Engineering or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
