Responsibilities

Primary Duties

  • Provide direct support to the pest control program by reviewing service reports and providing escalation support to restaurant teams.
  • Assist with the routine day-to-day tasks for our 3rd party audit program.
  • Support the regulatory Health Department compliance program by partnering with operations and assisting in the development in corrective action and follow-up.
  • Assist the restaurant safety support team on crisis decision making from phone calls/emails received from the field restaurant teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Facilities, Operations, and Property Management, and Licensing teams, to problem solve and implement food safety initiatives and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Conduct proactive outreach and exception follow-up to support and maintain internal operational food safety standards and procedures.
  • Maintain and upkeep internal food safety tools and resources.
  • Night and weekend schedule required.

The opportunity. As a Regulatory Food Safety Specialist, you'll play a role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our food products. This position will involve directly supporting our Regulatory Food Safety Programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, decisive decision-making abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety.

What you'll do:

What you'll bring to the table:
  • Degree in Food Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and an eagerness to learn about food safety and regulatory compliance in a real-world setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety principles or interest in gaining hands-on experience in the industry.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in advanced Microsoft and Adobe software.

Pay transparency. Pay rate is $20 per hour, depending on skill level, experience, and education. Compensation offered is also subject to local wage and hour laws.
