Primary Duties

• Greets members and helps load orders onto conveyor belt.
• Determines member packing preferences and answers questions.
• Relates information on special promotions and thanks members.
• Assists cashier by counting items left in cart, checking under items, and positioning them for scanning.
• Packs member orders into boxes and loads them onto a separate cart or flatbed.
• Checks packaging for tampering.
• Follows all safety and security procedures.
• Follows proper departmental procedures for performance of duties.
• Assists members loading orders into their cars when appropriate.
• May assist members with self-checkouts regarding scanning heavy merchandise and entering item numbers.
• May assist members with self-checkouts by monitoring the registers for errors and keeping the belt area clean of product and debris.
• Maintains cleanliness of the register area and general front-end area.
• Cleans spills and trip hazards immediately.
• Performs set up and closing duties for the department, such as returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers, and cleaning the area.
• Transfers pallets of merchandise from the receiving area to the steel shelves and bulk wall for storage, or directly to the sales floor.
• Assists with stocking and clears sales floor debris.
• Observes and ensures correct product signage; creates computer-generated signs.
• Labels unmarked products with item numbers.
• Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Assists with department duties as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
• Ability to operate vehicles, equipment, or machinery.
