Responsible for garnishing, weighing, packaging, labeling and merchandising bakery products. Cleans the work area as required. Cleans and sanitizes bakery, bakery equipment, and bakery utensils. Re-stocks supplies and ingredients as needed. Provides a high level of member service.

Job duties include:

• Moving product filled oven racks
• Un-traying products from baking pans into packaging
• Garnishing baked goods according to item requirements
• Sealing and labeling bags and containers of baked goods according to merchandise manual
• Re-stocking baking supplies and industrial-sized containers of ingredients
• Scaling finished product and recording weight on verification sheets
• Using racks or carts to move or stock wrapped products onto tables and pallets
• Maintaining date rotation and merchandising presentation throughout the day
• Cleaning and sanitizing the bakery area including cooler and freezer
• Sweeping, mopping, washing, applying cleaning agents, wiping, operating pressure washer and walk-behind scrubber
• Cleaning and refilling mop bucket and cleaning mop head as needed
• Dismantling bakery equipment
• Washing, rinsing and sanitizing removable parts in commercial dishwasher or by hand in three compartment sinks
• Washing bakery containers, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwasher
• Wiping down stationary parts with a cleaning agent, water, and sanitizing agent
• Following SSOP guidelines as it refers to proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required by this position
• Logging sanitation procedures performed on daily reports and complying with health code
• Following safety and security procedures and reading labels for proper use and precautions of cleaning products
• Collecting cardboard and trash; operating trash compactor, cardboard baler
• Taking the laundry to the laundry service pick-up area
• Performing weekly cleaning duties
• Assisting with other bakery duties as needed
• Providing prompt and courteous member service
• Completing and complying with 11 Commandments of Quality Assurance, Food Safety Certification and all Safety training required by warehouse and department
• Maintaining current product knowledge of bakery items
• Completing training, acknowledging standards and signing annually
• Ensuring proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials
• Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery
• Assisting with department duties as necessary
• Assisting in other departments of the warehouse as necessary
