  • Manages room blocks and meetings using meeting software tool and Travelport
  • Creates meeting registration sites using Swoogo event platform
  • Communicates and interacts with meeting organizers from various departments
  • Maintains confidentiality of data, documentation, projects, or other sensitive material
  • Handles other duties as assigned

Corporate Travel Meeting Planner

Salary Range: $21/hr. + $3/hr. - $32.90/hr. + $3/hr.

The Corporate Travel Meeting Planner is responsible for negotiating and managing room blocks and meetings for Costco departments and warehouse openings, as well as compiling meeting/event data, contract fulfillment tracking, and reporting.

Job Duties/Essential Functions:
  • Negotiates hotel contracts for meetings and warehouse openings (including room blocks, meeting space, and food and beverage where needed).
  • Analyzes hotel contracts for specific clauses.
  • Manages room blocks and meetings using meeting software tool and Travelport.
  • Creates meeting registration sites using Swoogo event platform.
  • Communicates and interacts with meeting organizers from various departments.
  • Maintains confidentiality of data, documentation, projects, or other sensitive material.
  • Handles other duties as assigned.

Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications Required:
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good follow-up skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and be accountable for actions.
  • Previous group coordination experience.

Recommended:
  • Corporate travel or meeting planning experience.
  • Overall knowledge of travel industry.
  • Event Registration program knowledge.
  • Basic Travelport skills.
  • Knowledge of M/S Excel, Outlook, Word, Google applications.
