The hourly wage range for this position is $31.$85 - $39.85* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
What You'll Do...Assist other maintenance technicians with equipment repair and maintenance.
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and repairs on equipment, including:
Lift trucks
Pneumatic systems
Material handling equipment
Hydraulic equipment
Dock equipment
Electronic and electrical equipment
Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
Diagnose refrigeration and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electro-mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, laptops).
Troubleshoot and repair complex ammonia refrigeration system issues involving logic controls and external input/output (I/O) devices when the issue is not immediately visible.
Operate refrigeration system equipment (e.g., compressors, fan units).
Perform PM and repairs on refrigeration system equipment by following OEM instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Clean up or prevent hazardous-material issues as a member of the HazMat team.
Monitor work areas for safety concerns per written procedures and take appropriate action as needed.
Complete work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documentation using established procedures.
Lead and participate in teams by:

Coordinating and executing work assignments
Providing advice, feedback, and support to meet timelines and quality standards
Modeling adaptability and helping others respond to change and new challenges

Minimum Qualifications...Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Option 1: Trade/vocational school degree/certification in industrial maintenance or similar area. Option 2: 1 year's experience in industrial refrigeration (for example, valve rebuilds, working with refrigeration systems). Option 3: 2 years' experience in HVAC. Option 4: 2 years' experience with wastewater treatment plants. Option 5: 2 years' experience in industrial maintenance.

RETA Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO), Willingness and ability to obtain the Refrigerating Engineers & Technicians Association (RETA) Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO) within 30 months of job entry date.
