Position SummaryAssists other maintenance technicians by performing preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment, including lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, and electronic/electrical equipment, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment safely and efficiently.

Diagnoses refrigeration and electrical problems using technical drawings (such as blueprints and electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (such as multimeters and laptops).

Troubleshoots and repairs complex ammonia refrigeration system problems, including equipment logic controls and external Input/Output (I/O) devices, when repairs are not immediately visible or obvious.

Operates refrigeration system equipment (e.g., compressors, fan units) as required.

Operates and maintains machinery in a wastewater treatment plant, monitoring system performance and adjusting controls to maintain necessary system parameters.

Manages equipment to filter and purify water, ensuring the safety and compliance of plant operations.

Runs tests, identifies faults, and applies corrective measures as needed to maintain operational standards.

Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on refrigeration system equipment by following original equipment manufacturer instructions and standard operating procedures.

Cleans or addresses issues related to hazardous materials as a member of the HazMat team.

Monitors work areas for safety concerns according to written procedures and takes appropriate corrective actions as needed.

Completes work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.

Leads and participates in teams by sharing resources, information, and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities; coordinating and executing work assignments; providing advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved; and modeling adaptability to change or new challenges.

Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners; analyzing and applying information from multiple sources; monitoring progress and results; and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.

Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by explaining, guiding, and demonstrating how to apply these in executing business processes and practices; implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and assisting management with correcting ethical and compliance issues and problems.

Minimum Qualifications18 years of age or older

Option 1: Trade/vocational school degree or certificate in industrial maintenance or similar area.

Option 2: 3 years' experience in industrial refrigeration (for example, valve rebuilds, working with refrigeration systems).

Option 3: 5 years' experience with HVAC.

Option 4: 5 years' experience with wastewater treatment plants.

Option 5: 5 years' experience in industrial maintenance.

RETA Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO).

Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a Class I or II Waster Water Operator (State Specific) within 30 months of job entry date.

Preferred QualificationsClass I or II Waster Water Operator (State Specific).

RETA Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) certification.
