Senior Configuration Engineer, Workday

The Talent / HRIS Platforms team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager, Workday HRIS to lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative solutions across our HR technology landscape. This role will serve as a liaison between technology and talent / HR business operations ensuring that Workday and integrated systems are optimized for scale, accuracy, and delivering a world-class employee experience for our 20K Employees worldwide.

This individual will combine deep Workday configuration expertise with strong project leadership, stakeholder engagement, and a forward-looking approach to systems strategy and process excellence.

What You'll Do:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Compensation).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2/3 issues and support tickets, escalating as necessary.
  • Configure, test, document, and deploy enhancements and updates within Workday.
  • Manage and maintain business process workflows, calculated fields, security roles, reports, and dashboards.
  • Participate in system upgrade testing, feature enablement assessments, and change management efforts.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Procurement, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver system solutions.
  • Minimal Experience or Exposure to Workday Integrations (EIBs, Studio, Orchestrate) is a big plus.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration of new and existing Workday features, including user management, roles/profiles, permissions, custom objects, new page layouts, custom fields, calculated fields, condition rules, validations, business processes, and notifications.
  • Provide user support and training to increase self-sufficiency and adoption.
  • Maintain clear documentation of system configurations, changes, and user-facing guides.
  • Support projects such as module rollouts, tenant refreshes, and vendor integrations.
  • Support Workday security administration, including role-based/user-based access controls and SOX-compliant configurations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • 7+ years experience configuring Workday Modules (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, Compensation).
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential. Must be able to collaborate with cross functional partners.
  • Proven record of setting delivery commitments and meeting expectations.
  • Preferred experience maintaining systems that support complex organizations covering multiple geographies.
  • Proven experience configuring and maintaining Workday business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, validations, roles, and security permissions.
  • Exposure to Workday Integrations (EIBs, Studio, Orchestrate) is a strong plus.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
