Responsibilities
Primary Duties
- Support daily monitoring of Wayfair media coverage and industry news
- Assist with external communications efforts, including building media lists, maintaining media coverage trackers, and supporting reporting and analytics
- Draft and edit content for external channels such as stories for AboutWayfair.com and social media posts for Linkedin and Instagram
- Support internal communications, including drafting content for internal newsletters, identifying story ideas, uploading content to internal platforms, and tracking engagement metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify compelling stories, announcements, and events to feature internally and externally
- Assist with content creation, including basic design, photo and video capture at Wayfair events, and light editing using tools like Canva
- Opportunities to pitch new ideas for social media and blog content as well as internal stories
About This Role

Wayfair's Corporate Communications team is responsible for protecting and promoting the Wayfair brand across all internal and external audiences. We partner closely with leaders and teams across the business to develop and share stories that build trust, strengthen our reputation, and bring Wayfair's culture and strategy to life.
As a Corporate Communications Co-op, you will be a fully integrated member of the team, supporting both internal and external communications efforts. You will gain hands-on experience across media monitoring, storytelling, social content, internal newsletters, and cross-functional projects.

What You'll Need:
Basic Qualifications:
- Current Sophomore, Junior, or Senior student pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English or other relevant program with a 3.0 GPA minimum. Graduating between May 2027 - December 2029
- Must be returning to the course of study following completion of the co-op
- Ability to commit to working 40 hours/week (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday) from July 6 to December 18, 2026 in our Boston office
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by Wayfair now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and tone
- Interest in corporate communications, media, storytelling, and/or brand reputation
- Organized, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines
- A proactive, curious self-starter who is eager to learn and ask questions
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Some familiarity with or an interest in learning tools such as Canva and media monitoring platforms
- An interest in data, metrics, and using insights to inform communications decisions
Wayfair Co-op Program Overview:
Based in Wayfair's Boston headquarters, our co-op program is a six-month, full-time, paid program that runs twice annually in January to June and July to December. Through the co-op program, students have the opportunity to gain impactful professional experience in their major or career field of interest by fully integrating with Wayfair business units. In addition to exciting project work, Wayfair co-ops have the opportunity to build their professional networks, take advantage of training offerings, and attend social events throughout the program.

Wayfair's In-Office Policy:
All Boston-based interns, co-ops, and corporate employees will be in office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and work remotely Friday.
