Manager, TA Product Operations
This is a Boston-based hybrid role. You are required to be onsite Monday through Thursday in our Boston, MA headquarters. Friday is WFH.
The Talent Acquisition Enablement (TAE) team is a Center of Excellence, driving innovation in how we attract, engage, and hire top talent. We explore and implement cutting-edge technologies and best practices, empowering our global TA teams to deliver an exceptional candidate experience and build a world-class workforce.
This role sits at the forefront of our multi-year TA technology journey and is instrumental in shaping the future of recruiting at Wayfair. As the Manager, TA Product Operations, you are responsible for driving the technology strategy for the next 12 months, ensuring it ladders up into broader TA and talent goals and our 3+ year technology roadmap and vision. You will own the process of translating complex user needs into actionable technical recommendations, working in close lockstep with technology partners to drive improvements across the tech stack. Additionally, you will lead and grow a small team, fostering a culture of high performance through coaching and effective delegation.

What You'll Do:
- People Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and develop a team of 12 direct reports, focusing on skill-building and providing the necessary guidance for long-term career growth.
- 12-Month Technology Strategy: Define and drive the operational technology strategy for the next 12 months, ensuring all initiatives ladder up to the 3+ year roadmap and broader global talent goals.
- Market Research & Recommendations: Own continuous market research to identify emerging recruiting technologies and provide strategic recommendations on how to solve business problems through technical innovation.
- User Discovery & Advocacy: Deeply understand the needs of recruiters and hiring managers through consistent discovery, serving as the "voice of the user" to prioritize the most impactful system enhancements.
- Technical Partnership & Execution: Work closely with internal technology partners to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring system stability and peak user efficiency.
- Strategic Project Management: Utilize advanced project management skills to scope complex technology projects, coordinate cross-functional resources, and hold the team accountable for on-time delivery.
- Vendor Performance & ROI: Manage core technology vendor partnerships to monitor product performance and ensure our tech stack is delivering maximum value to the global TA organization.
- Change Management: Partner with TA teams to develop and execute adoption plans, ensuring a clear understanding of new features and driving measurable behavioral change.
What You'll Need:
- 5+ years of professional experience in a strategic operations, business systems, or program management role, preferably within HR Technology or Talent Acquisition.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, delegate, and coach direct reports to achieve high-impact results.
- Proven experience leading the full lifecycle of a technology implementation, specifically conducting RFPs, defining complex business requirements, and navigating contract renewals/signings.
- Proven track record of defining project scope, setting timelines, and driving execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional ability to "translate" between two worlds taking recruiter pain points and turning them into technical design specs for engineering teams.
- Strong ability to influence cross-functional partners and end-users to ensure alignment on the 12-month technology roadmap.
- Experience identifying and troubleshooting operational bottlenecks and using data to recommend technical solutions.
- Demonstrated success in partnering with vendors or external partners on technology rollouts and evaluations.
- Deep familiarity with enterprise-level Talent Acquisition suites (e.g., Avature, Workday, or Paradox). Ability to audit a current stack and build a business case for new products or optimizations.
