About the Role
Your ImpactIn this role, the Yard Admins main responsibilities include acting as the critical administrative link between physical yard operations, driver coordination, and system accuracy.
You will serve as the primary "command center" operator, ensuring the seamless flow of trailers and information by managing the Yard Management System, coordinating inbound and outbound logistics documentation, and maintaining real-time communication with carriers and warehouse teams. This position requires a detail-oriented and resourceful individual capable of balancing data integrity with the fast-paced demands of a high-volume logistics environment.

What You'll Do (Core Responsibilities)As a Yard Administrator, you are responsible for the digital and physical accuracy of our yard operations, balancing high-volume data entry with real-world coordination.
Systems Management: Enter data into the Yard Management System (C3) and maintain complex spreadsheets to track all trailer movements and transactions with 100% accuracy.
Inbound & Outbound Orchestration:
Close dock doors and initiate moves to designated yard areas based on real-time operational requests.
Dispatch drivers by verifying reference numbers, destinations, and ensuring the outbound packet matches the physical trailer and seal.
Inventory & Safety Audits:
Cross-Functional Scheduling: Monitor high-volume email traffic to schedule drop or live load appointments for all departments and approve drayage setups.
What You'll Need (Minimum Requirements)Experience &
Skills
High School diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel skills), Google Workspace, and email
Service and warehousing/fulfillment experience is preferred.
Communication & Reasoning:
A strong work ethic and the ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Effective negotiation skills and the ability to develop professional relationships with employees, drivers, and managers at various levels.
Physical & Environment:
Lifting up to 75 lbs. unassisted is required, though infrequent (less than half shift).
