Responsibilities
Primary Duties
- Prospect enterprise and mid-sized office accounts in the Boston area through strategic outbound outreach and account-based targeting of corporate real estate, facilities, procurement, and workplace strategy leaders in your region
- Identify and qualify large-scale opportunities tied to headquarters relocations, regional expansions, M&A activity, and portfolio-wide furniture standards initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate real estate leaders, facilities executives, procurement teams, workplace strategists, and other senior client stakeholders
- Drive early-stage engagement for RFPs by coordinating internally with design, pricing, and project management teams to shape solutions prior to formal procurement
- Maintain a rigorous pipeline in CRM, mapping buying committees, tracking multi-threaded engagement, and forecasting high-value opportunities with long, complex sales cycles
- Cultivate partnerships across Boston's commercial real estate ecosystem, including brokers, architecture and design firms, project managers, and developers to generate new project opportunities
- Lead high-level discovery conversations with prospective clients to understand workplace strategy, headcount planning, budget considerations, and project timelines
- Collaborate closely with internal sales, design, and project management teams to shape solutions, support proposal development, and advance opportunities toward close
- Represent the organization at industry events, networking forums, and market functions to strengthen brand presence and expand strategic relationships

We serve these customers online via a credentialed-only site experience and offline with a ~500-person Sales organization. We're hiring for a Business Development all star in the Boston market who is responsible for generating new business opportunities within the Greater Boston commercial office market. This role focuses on identifying and developing relationships with corporate clients, commercial real estate partners, and workplace decision-makers to drive early-stage engagement around office relocations, renovations, and furniture procurement initiatives.

What You'll Need:
- 710+ years of business development or sales experience in contract furniture, commercial real estate, construction, architecture/design, or related industries
- Deep understanding of the Boston commercial real estate market and its key stakeholders
- Strong existing network with CREs and A&D firms within Boston
- Demonstrated success developing new enterprise relationships and originating large-scale commercial opportunities
- Strong executive presence with the ability to engage senior client leadership and influence complex buying groups
- Proven ability to build and manage strategic partnerships across industry networks
- Excellent communication, relationship management, and organizational skills
- Experience using CRM platforms to manage pipeline and track business development activity
