Primary Duties
- Set the strategic direction for Wayfair SRB's brands and insights agenda, aligning team objectives to company-wide priorities and pivoting as business needs evolve.
- Build and codify Wayfair SRB's brand strategy and architecture, ensuring clear positioning, end-to-end go-to-market strategies, messaging, and overall and channel-specific creative briefs ensuring a consistent and resonant customer experience across touchpoints.
- Lead consumer insights actions, shaping the roadmap, translating data into actionable growth strategies, and embedding insights into decision-making across the brands.
- Mobilize and partner with cross-functional teams, spanning Creative, Media, Commercial, and Tech, to ensure end-to-end integration of brand and customer experience.
- Establish measurement frameworks, linking brand investments to preference, cultural relevance, and commercial KPIs, including MMM, brand tracking, and campaign lift.
- Represent Wayfair externally, building senior-level relationships with partners, media platforms, agencies, and talent while elevating Wayfair's reputation as a brand leader.

Wayfair is seeking a strategic brand leader to head our Brand functions for our Specialty Retail Brands (SRBs) including Joss & Main, Birch Lane, and AllModern. This high-visibility role is central to brand-building, shaping customer insights & experiences, and driving commercial growth through data-driven strategy, world-class creative, and cultural integration.
Reporting into the CMO, this leader sets the strategic agenda for brand development and oversees brand management, content development, go-to-market planning, consumer insights/consumer journey mapping, and site operations. You own the end-to-end strategy for a portfolio of commercial priorities, from defining positioning and value propositions to partnering with creative, campaign, and product teams to bring them to life. The role requires a rare mix of strategic vision, commercial rigor, creative excellence, and cultural fluency to ensure Wayfair's SRBs show up with impact everywhere we meet customers.

Who You'll Need:
- 12+ years in brand strategy, consumer insights, or partnerships, with proven experience leading teams that deliver measurable brand and business growth.
- Experience in consumer brand, retail, ecommerce, or lifestyle industries; in-house leadership strongly preferred.
- Aptitude for data-driven decision-making - leading with information and data to drive results.
- Deep expertise in brand building, triggers, and insights, with the ability to connect customer needs to brand strategy and commercial outcomes.
- Strong track record leading high-profile content, sponsorships or talent/media partnerships with measurable impact.
- Senior presence and influencing skills; able to align executive stakeholders, coach teams, and build long-term partnerships inside and outside the company.
- Strategic and pragmatic: can set the long-term vision while rolling up sleeves to deliver near-term results.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple teams, prioritize ruthlessly, and connect the dots across brand, insights, and overall business growth.
Bonus If You Have:
- Experience building brand strategy and insights functions at scale.
- Background leading integrated brand + performance campaigns across multiple media channels.
- Track record of thought leadership in brand building, customer insights, or cultural marketing.
