About the RoleThis position is on the Video Edge team, responsible for the ingestion from hundreds of thousands of live video creators, as well as the distribution worldwide to millions of viewers. As an engineer on this team, you will be focused on designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable systems that enable our customers to ingest and watch live video.

Key Job ResponsibilitiesPartner with data analysts, product managers, technical leads, and other engineers to design, develop, launch, and operate distributed systems at scale.

Help define the future of the Amazon IVS video stack, including traffic shaping, infrastructure deployment, and infrastructure automation.

Build novel video features to improve the interactivity of live video streaming.

Collaborate with our team and partner teams and fostering a shared understanding of how to solve common problems and deliver solutions.

Design, implement, and deploy new live video features including dynamic slates and video advertisements.

Design, implement, and deploy new CDN features such as intelligest traffic shaping, traffic simulation, and custom domain names.

Design, implement, and deploy new security infrastructure, protecting our resources from malicious threat vectors.

About the TeamIVS processes a massive amount of live video channels and distributes them using the largest dedicated live video CDN in the world, delivering over 25Tbps to more than 5 million concurrent viewers.
