Industrial Designer II

Position Responsibilities:
Design and implement engineering solutions to complex material flow/transformation and human/machine efficiency problems throughout the global Amazon supply chain. Coordinate design and innovation efforts influencing equipment specification, material flow, process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations for the fulfillment and transportation network. Ensure physical processing and material storage solutions utilize modern technology, robotics, and data analytics to meet product flow requirements based on Amazon design principles. Collaborate with systems and operations engineering teams to develop product features and optimize the performance of Sort Centers. Identify and analyze key operational and financial metrics as part of program and feature selection to drive smart decisions. Support multiple projects and tasks while communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors, and vendors.

Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) project management for engineering design projects; and (2) validating performance through simulation tools. Domestic and/or international travel up to 25% to perform role responsibilities may be required.

Work Schedule: 40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm
Salary Range: $104,541/year to $160,000/year.
