Primary Duties
- Own the product roadmap for Studios accounting capabilities, defining features that automate journal entry creation, cost capitalization, amortization schedules, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes
- Embed with Amazon MGM Studios Accounting teams to deeply understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities across data extraction, booking accruals/MJEs, anomaly detection, and account reconciliation
- Evaluate how various accounting tools interact and define a unified experience that eliminates tool overlap and confusion
- Define Accounting's AI strategy identifying opportunities to automate the month-end close, surface anomalies, and reduce manual effort while preserving accountant judgment for high-complexity decisions
- Serve as the bridge between Studios accounting subject matter experts and engineering teams, translating complex accounting requirements into clear technical specifications
- Serve as Accounting's point of contact for tech debt, working across engineering teams to define solution design and advocate for the customer
- Identify gaps in requirements vs. existing systems for new business launches, collaborating with FBI to define and improve launch processes
- Establish vision, goals, and tenets; contribute to OP1/OP2 narratives and engineering roadmaps
- Define and track key metrics: accounting accuracy (99.99%+), financial close timeliness, manual hour reduction, reconciliation completion rates, and adoption of automated solutions

Senior Product Manager-Technical
Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering customers a vast collection of premium programming in one app available across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and find their favorite movies, series, documentaries, and live sports including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies; licensed fan favorites; and programming from Prime Video add-on subscriptions such as Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll and MGM+. All customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership or not, can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, and can enjoy even more content for free with ads.
As a Prime Video technologist, you'll have end-to-end ownership of the product, user experience, design, and technology required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our customers. You'll get to work on projects that are fast-paced, challenging, and varied. You'll also be able to experiment with new possibilities, take risks, and collaborate with remarkable people.
Prime Video's Financial Systems Organization designs, builds, and maintains the financial infrastructure powering Prime Video's global operations. We handle complex financial workflows across Accounting, Finance, Legal and Tax and process billions of dollars in financial obligations annually.
Prime Video's Financial Systems Organization is seeking a Senior Product Manager-Technical to own the end-to-end accounting experience for Amazon MGM Studios. In this role, you will serve as Accounting's spokesperson and primary liaison between Accounting, FBI, and engineering teams translating complex financial domain requirements into product vision and technical solutions at scale.
You will define the product roadmap for Studios-specific accounting capabilities spanning journal entry automation, cost capitalization, amortization scheduling, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation. You will shape Accounting's AI strategy, rethinking the month-end close process by leveraging AI to automate routine tasks, surface anomalies, and defer high-judgment decisions to accountants.
