Construction Project Safety Manager

The NA Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team is looking for a talented Construction Project Safety Manager to support Amazon's construction safety program. This role will further develop, maintain and oversee the construction safety contractor management program in partnership with WHS Design and Construction teams.

This role will be part of the global WHS Construction Safety team with a direct relationship with the Facilities, Engineering, and Construction WHS team. The successful candidate will work closely with Design and Construction, Operations Engineering, Start Up, procurement, legal, WHS, RME teams and other stakeholders.

The program manager role will be a key stakeholder in the further development and implementation of Amazon's Contractor Safety Management Program including, among other responsibilities:

• Management and tracking of the Contractor Pre-qualification Process
• Monitoring and documenting WHS metrics across all NA construction projects
• Management of the 3rd-party safety observation program to ensure adherence with key safety contract language
• Establishing expectations and tools for Project Managers to validate WHS compliance with established contract agreements
