Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Ensure high performance of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Thread when used simultaneously by Apple's devices. Coordinate with vendors about issues with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth performance and evaluate the impact of new wireless features. Software development for WIFI host software Deamons using Objective-C language. Working on software projects that control Wi-Fi policy for coexistence cases, configuring transmit power, modes of operation, Wi-Fi roaming, and other wireless configurations. Knowledge of the Objective-C programming language, the full Wi-Fi software stack, and experience with debugging crashes in Deamons and reducing memory footprints. Knowledge of RF schematics for considering different RF module designs and their tradeoffs. Knowledge of different wireless concepts such as transmit-beam forming, maximal-ratio-combining, as well as the effects of USB defense on antennas. Fulfill duties related to the full device shipment process from concept review to final customer release. Knowledge of all aspects of device delivery, from FW stability to regulatory certification. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $1$81,100 - $272,100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. PAY &

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
2 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Using WiFi protocol at MAC and PHY layers to analyze WiFi connectivity issues and improve SW quality, including basic operations including scan, join, roaming, and various security modes to advanced WiFi protocols including 11ac/ax/be
Utilizing critical PHY/MAC elements that impact WiFi connectivity and performance to analyze and improve WiFi SW quality, including EAPOL exchange, MCS rate, or AMPDU aggregation.
Using BT protocol and operations, co-existence and interaction with WiFi radio operation, and various optimization techniques to strike the right balance between BT and WiFi performance and usability
Applying embedded OS fundamentals and using C/C

Applying understanding RF antenna design, reading schematic of RF front end and analysis of intrinsic impact to WiFi/BT co-existence at runtime
Analyzing and driving system level investigation related to radio co-existence
