Primary Duties

  • Maintains store cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization.
  • Cleans/picks up trash and debris from flower beds and yard around the Store.
  • Uses H-E-B chemical program; correctly organizes/maintains stock in maintenance room.
  • Washes windows and mirrors throughout Store.
  • Empties/cleans trash receptacles throughout the shift.
  • Ensures compliance with food safety and sanitation standards/SOPs.

Additional Duties

  • Communicates maintenance needs, problems, or solutions to Store Leaders.
  • Performs minor maintenance repairs using simple hand tools.
  • Maintains ceiling air vents; replaces light bulbs.
  • Works with and around customers; attends to their needs.
  • Assists customers in the location of product.
  • Performs Customer Service Assistant (CSA) duties, when needed.

Full Job Description

Maintenance Representative
As a Maintenance Representative, you'll maintain cleanliness and safety for an entire Store, inside and out, all while making our customers feel welcome. Key responsibilities and essential functions include:
  • Sanitation: Maintains store cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization. Cleans/picks up trash and debris from flower beds and yard around the Store. Uses H-E-B chemical program; correctly organizes/maintains stock in maintenance room. Washes windows and mirrors throughout Store. Empties/cleans trash receptacles throughout the shift. Ensures compliance with food safety and sanitation standards/SOPs.
  • Maintenance: Communicates maintenance needs, problems, or solutions to Store Leaders. Performs minor maintenance repairs using simple hand tools. Maintains ceiling air vents; replaces light bulbs.
  • Customer Service: Works with and around customers; attends to their needs. Assists customers in the location of product. Performs Customer Service Assistant (CSA) duties, when needed.
Qualifications and key requirements include:
  • Age requirement: 18+
  • Work experience: Knowledge/skills/abilities
  • Knowledge of OSHA guidelines
  • Customer service skills
  • Sacking skills
  • Ability to take initiative and do what needs to be done
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks
  • Education: Licenses/Certifications
  • Completion of Company Orientation, Basics of Safety training, and In-store orientation
Physical demands and working conditions include:
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Constantly walk, reach at waist, grasp
  • Frequently push/pull with arms
  • Occasionally stand, reach overhead, reach at shoulder, reach at knee, reach at floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, crawl, climb stairs, climb ladders, pivot, twist, pinch, perform fine motor movements
  • Occasionally be exposed to cold, ambient temperatures, loud noise and wet conditions
  • Demonstrate the ability to lift 50 lbs, and manage in excess of 50 lbs
