H-E-B Store Department Lead

As an H-E-B store department lead, you'll lead a well-stocked, well-maintained department, while providing superior customer service. You'll also perform supervisory responsibilities, such as scheduling work, and training/developing partners. Once you're eligible, you'll become an owner in the company, so we're looking for commitment, hard work, and focus on quality and customer service. What is your background?

• minimum age 18 (mandatory)
• associate's degree (AA), or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or
• 6+ months of related experience and/or training, or
• combination of equivalent education/training
• completion of company orientation, food safety and sanitation training, and eCommerce online ordering training

Do you have what it takes to be a fit as an H-E-B department lead?

• expert knowledge of department production stations, including quality standards, set-up, operation, cleaning, and maintenance of all equipment
• ability to read and interpret documents (e.g., safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, production planners, procedure manuals)
• ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or partners
• ability to apply common sense/understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• ability to function in a fast-paced, retail environment, in detailed and precise tasks
• ability to work with customers, staying attentive to their needs
