- A master's degree in advanced practice nursing from an accredited program and 3+ years of experience for a Nurse Practitioner, or
- A graduate degree from an accredited PA program and 3+ years of experience for a Physician Assistant.
Additionally, candidates must have:
- Current, valid State of Texas RN & APRN licenses for Nurse Practitioners, or
- Current, unrestricted license to practice in Texas for Physician Assistants.
Both positions require:
- Current, unrestricted DEA license.

- Ability to work as part of an integrated healthcare team to provide an exceptional patient experience.
The work involves:
- Interviewing patients, taking medical histories, assessing patient health, performing physical examinations, administering injections/immunizations, performing suturing, splinting, casting, managing wounds and infections.
- Instructing/counseling patients, explaining treatments and medications, counseling/promoting emotional and physical health and wellness.
- Obtaining/studying medical histories, documenting patient and clinic records.
- Administering/ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting results, making diagnoses, prescribing medications and other treatments.
- Identifying short-/long-range patient care issues, recommending courses of action, implementing physician directives.
- Providing/ensuring continuity of care, developing/implementing patient care management plans.
- Complying/ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements, and infection control protocols and policies.
- Developing health care team staff, providing training and educational/growth opportunities.
- Maintaining professional/technical knowledge, reviewing professional journals, establishing personal network, participating in educational workshops and professional associations.
