For the Retail Excellence & Innovation team's Operations Excellence group, the spirit of improving our store's Partner's Experience through studying workflows and collaborating on solutions comes to life every day. As an Operations Excellence Industrial Engineer II, you will execute projects that assess our store's capacities to serve their communities and recommend processes, back-of-house equipment, and design improvements to support that journey. • Industrial Engineering degree
• 2+ years of IE experience

What is the work?

• Demonstrates / applies understanding of engineering concepts as they relate to store operations
• Works under limited supervision to complete assigned projects that will include but are not limited to:
• Store / department workflow observational studies and analysis
• Process improvement (waste elimination)
• Partner Workspace and equipment assessments
• Back-of-house production and service area layout proposals
• Executes projects that entail coordination and collaboration internally with project managers and technology / innovation leaders, merchant groups, and outside companies
• Collaborates with other Retail Excellence and Innovation partners (Emerging Technology & Innovation, Store of the Future, World's Greatest Operator, & World's Greatest Managers to support future Partner Experience enablers
• Effectively communicates and works with all management levels, hourly Partners, and outside companies

What is your background?

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field
• 2+ years minimum of industrial engineering experience
• PC software experience with MS Office Suite
• Experience leveraging AI tools to co-develop, support model analysis, and research
• Experience in AutoCAD and time study software tools
