Compounding Pharmacy Technician
As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you'll work as part of a team that exceeds patient expectations through delivery of excellent, accurate, and efficient services. You'll measure, compound, and dispense customized medications using a variety of special equipment, formulas, and techniques.
Key responsibilities include:
- Compounding Pharmacy Operations
- Sanitation / Compliance
- Receiving / Stocking
- Customer Service
- Inventory Management
- Cash Handling / Financial Functions
Qualifications and key requirements include:
- Age requirement: 18+
- Work experience: Experience as a Pharmacy Technician (preferred)
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Understanding of general safety guidelines, proficiency in use of FORxMULATE, strong communication and interpersonal skills, math skills, computer skills, reading/writing skills, organization skills, ability to properly handle confidential information, ability to work with little direct supervision, ability to work as part of a team
- Education: HS Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Licenses/Certifications: Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration, successful completion of all training/certifications upon hire
- Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Function in a fast-paced environment, stand for extended periods, manage in excess of 50 lbs, specific vision requirements by this job include close vision and color vision, work extended hours and/or rotating weekend schedules; remain flexible to the needs of the business, properly use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), properly handle/be exposed to hazardous chemicals on NIOSH list, use pallet jack, if needed
